Camera Technology in the IV room

We are evaluating implementation of camera capturing technology through Epic Dispense Prep for non-HD sterile compounding.

For organizations that have adopted this workflow or planning to adopt, I'd appreciate insights on:

• Implementation challenges and lessons learned (Impact on workflow efficiency and throughput?)

• Do you use picture technology for both IV batching and patient specific mixing?

• Any IV mixing product that is excluded?

• Additional pharmacist/technician staffing required (if any)

• Recommended best practices for go-live and optimization

Thank you for sharing your experience and any data you can provide regarding staffing and operational impact.

Thank you so much!
