Oral Potassium Replacement
Hi - I'm looking for recommendations for oral potassium replacement within a hypokalemia protocol. Our current protocol utilizes KlorCon packets for those that can take PO but anecdotally patients are refusing it due to taste. Extended-release tablets likely are not preferred for a patient with hypokalemia. Is anyone using these anyways for improved compliance? Or are you using liquid? Effervescent tablets? Thank you!
