Use of Syringe Sizes for syringe Pumps

Good evening,

Our syringe pumps have always been somewhat of a challenge.

In our quest to change from using the pumps"minimum programmable" rate (really 'when the pump alarms'-) to "Minimum recommended" flow rate we are running into issues from pharmacy (of all places) mostly due to operational concerns .

Wondering which of the attached photo of the table does your institution follow- the middle column or the right column ? and why
What do you do to help people understand this chart ?

What does it mean for the hosptial/ED and NICU /PICU for these to be correctly in the pump ?
