High Alert Assessment Participants Can Access Comparative Data Workbook

The preliminary comparative data from the ISMP Medication Safety Self Assessment® for High-Alert Medications is now available online to participants who submitted their findings to ISMP. The quality improvement workbook contains aggregate data that can be used by participants to compare their results to the aggregate results of demographically similar US facilities. Inpatient, outpatient, and prioritization worksheets are provided.

To access the workbook and worksheets, self assessment participants can log in to their accounts at: https://ismpassessments.org/high_alert/ and click on the links titled “Results Workbook” and “Results Worksheets” in the top right corner. A more in-depth analysis of the self assessment results will be submitted for publication in a professional journal to advance national efforts to reduce the risk of errors associated with high-alert medications.
