Hello,
Our health system was notified this week that Aerogen syringes used for continuous epoprostenol and albuterol neb therapy are critically short and our allocation as a health system is a small fraction of our use during this surge. The main benefit to this system is the prevention of misconnections due to luer incompatibility but in this instance this is a serious problem since we cannot connect bags or syringes to the tubing or neb reservoir. What are others who use Aerogen doing? We've extended BUD, double concentrated drug, and are working with clinicians on rational use but likely won't be enough.
Thank you in advance!
Lauren
