Question about neonatal and pediatric vasopressin

We have been running into an potential problem when it comes to units of measure, and wanted to see what others are doing in children’s hospitals and especially children’s hospitals within adult hospitals. Especially interested if you use Cerner and/or DoseEdge.

The units of measure in question center on vasopressin. There is a wide range of dosing strategies with include units/time, units/kg/time, milliunits/kg/time). The crux of the issue is between converting a unit of measure of “units” for the vial to a desired unit of measure to either be “units/kg/time” or “milliunits/kg/time” as both are needed for our patients (neonates to adults).

1. What is the population for your hospital? (i.e. adult, children’s, children’s in an adult)
2. Do you have all units of measure for vasopressin in either “units” or “milliunits” and everyone must adjust?
3. If you have a method to switch electronically, can you briefly explain or allow us to contact you?
