Program Overview:
- Rigorous, comprehensive one-week “rotation” at ISMP’s office in suburban Philadelphia
- Tailored to meet specific safety needs of each participant/organization
- Attend presentations on crucial safety issues
- Work closely with ISMP experts on individual projects and learning modules
- Learn ISMP’s unique model for identifying and controlling risk
- Certificate of completion is awarded at the end of the program
Intensive Focus on:
- Medication risk identification
- Actionable error reporting and analysis
- Medication safety team development
- Strategic planning for medication safety
- Effective root cause analysis (RCA)
- Collection and management of data to drive results
ISMP is a nonprofit organization with more than 35 years of experience helping healthcare facilities of all sizes and practice settings implement high-leverage error prevention strategies. Its interdisciplinary experts work collaboratively with all levels of practitioners and administrators to reduce patient harm from medication errors.
