HUMATE-P smart pump build

Smart pump/DERS question regarding HUMATE-P (Antihemophilic Factor/von Willebrand Factor Complex).

1. Do you have HUMATE-P built into your drug library? If yes, how? Is it built as an IVPB or syringe?
2. What is your process for nursing administration of HUMATE-P and other factors?

For some background, my organization currently does not have factor products like HUMATE-P built into our Alaris Guardrails. There are some challenges to build these drugs out because they often have variable dose/concentration. However, we feel we have is an opportunity for increased safety considering our nurses currently give this medication via "slow IVP." Also, as we are progressing towards the goal of interoperability we will need to find a way to build these eventually.

Anything you can share is most appreciated!

Best,
Kayla, Oncology MSO
