Linking Orders in Cerner

Hello,

We're a pediatric hospital so relay heavily on safe ways to administer doses which are portions of an "whole" tablet. Commonly we utilize methods like crush and most commonly we compound oral solutions/suspensions. A third method commonly used is when we need to use 2 different tablet strengths to equal 1 dose.
Many of us previously worked in EPIC where the linked orders functionality has been utilized in a safe manner for something like this. However in Cerner, we seem to have to result to entering both strengths on the MAR for the exact same time, and entering "notes" in the comment field to give one with the other as we were told the linking functionality is not available. ( Not terribly reliable).

We are consistently have different types of errors with this setup.

Any advice for those who might have conquered this problem using Cerner or at least have ideas of who to make it easier on both the Pharmacy side, and the Nursing side as it relates to what they're supposed to give and a way to document it.

Note: from a charging perspective, we are still "charge on admin".

Thanks in advance!
