BD Alaris Systems Manager v12.5.1 upgrade and disruption of Interoperability

For those of you who have BD Alaris pump and Epic and have started to upgrade your pumps and servers to address the 510k requirements, have you experienced interoperability disruption to the services with the upgrades? Would you be able to share your overall experiences with the project?

The short, we have dealt with issues with the upgrades and are working with BD. The list of issues are quite extensive but the main one is related to the stability of the server and the ability to complete information transaction when wireless connection is dynamic. A patch is apparently under development. And, to make it more interesting, we now discovered another issue related to the new pumps and server leading to Epic documentation failures.

It has been a journey over the last few weeks trying working through the issues and trying to get to root cause and resolution while still discovering new problems.

I was hoping to share information to determine if we have barely covered the tip of the proverbial ice berg on this one.

Much appreciate your replies.
