Epidural Steroids for CT-Guided proceedures

Hello all,

Looking to see if any sites are utilizing epidural steroids for specific CT-guided proceedures. The package insert for many of the steroid injections advise against epidural injection due to neurotoxicity risks / death.

The specific proceedure in question is CT-guided lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injection, with use of Depo-Medrol.

If you do these types of procedures, what type of safety mechanisms are in place?
