Does anyone have any experience with IV push medication and issues? Generally surrounding implementation of IV push antibiotics but also sometimes antiseizure medications and then having to reverse course? Positive vs negative experiences? What was learned? Is anyone having continuing issues with IV push and if so what are they?

Does your facility allow fentanyl to be administered IV push? If so, do you have restrictions around this? Specific indications? Allowed only on certain units? Are nurses allowed to administer? Thanks,

We would like to know if there are circumstances in which a nurse must prepare more than one medication in a single syringe for IV push use at the bedside?  What would the circumstances be-- Short stability?  No pharmacy availability after hours? Convienience?

What medications would these be?

How about anesthesia? What medications do they typically combine in one syringe for IV push administration?
