ADC overflow process

Hello all,

I was going through postings to help us with an issue but couldn't find anything fairly recent. We are looking to update our current (and outdated) workflow to handle overflow medications that do not fit in ADC. These medications are the ones rarely used. We are unable to put every single thing in our ADCs and for those items like that, that are controlled substances, we have an alternative workflow for nurses.

In an effort to explore opportunities for updating, I wanted to reach out to see what others are doing. Very interested in hearing from those that have both EPIC and Omnicell. There are some things that we are try gain best practices around especially when considering SinglePoint. There are some things we are anticipating will be big issues with this (e.g. - modifying medication orders).

Would love to hear from you!

Thanks in advance!
Jameika
