Barcode Scanning Compliance - iohexol contrast agents

In tracking barcode scanning compliance, our diagnostic imaging dept frequently comes up with terrible compliance rates. We've narrowed down that the iohexol (omnipaque) contrast is the primary problem. I'm told it gets loaded into a device for administration and the original vial/barcode are not available at the time of administration. Have other hospitals had this same issue? Have you found a fix for this issue?
