Baxter IV Fluid Extended Expiration Labeling

Good Morning All,

Just wanted to get a pulse check to see what everyone is doing with the products that have been granted extended expiration dating.

1. Are you manually adding auxiliary labels to the overwraps with the new expiration date?
2. If so, who is applying the labels (e.g., pharmacy, supply chain, nursing) and how are you managing the workflow to reduce the potential for errors?
3. If not relabeling, how is staff alerted to the new expiration dates?
4. Any risk concerns with this practice?
5. Any BOP or state regulatory concerns with relabeling?

Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
