Emoji Reactions in Epic Secure Chat

Our recent Epic upgrade brought emoji reactions to Secure Chat. While these are convenient, they raise several safety concerns:

1) Reactions can be inadvertently clicked on. We have already had an error where a provider inadvertently gave a thumbs-up reaction without realizing it.
2) Clinician may respond too quickly, without thinking the matter through.
3) Potential for miscommunication and misunderstandings. Do thumbs-up and heart emojis mean approval or "Good idea, let me look into that"? Does the smile/laugh emoji mean “I love that idea” or "I am laughing at your ridiculous suggestion"?

Some of our hospital’s committees want to remove all emojis, while others want to keep the thumbs-up only.

I am curious to hear what other organizations are doing about emoji reactions in Secure Chat.
