Epic Build for Bolus from the Pump

Good afternoon,
Historically, our children's hospital has not allowed providers to bolus from a continuous infusion except in the event of a medication shortage with emergency need. However, with the addition of a new facility, we are getting requests to add this function to several medications. I am reaching out to see if anyone has a solid build in Epic for this process that you are willing to share? We are debating between adding the bolus option within the infusion orders (similar to a PCA) vs. adding linked bolus orders, with the goal of requiring scanning and having matching concentrations. I am open to ideas that work well for other facilities.
Thank you,
Jordan Anderson
