What is everyone's thought about having infiltration as one of the routes available for provider selection?
A few times, individuals have questioned the route itself and reported they are unfamiliar, prompting us to review the topic of "infiltration." As we know, quite a few meds are administered via this route, and our goal is to prevent any inadvertent administration of meds via IV in place of infiltration. I could not find any ISMP guidance on this topic, and I wanted to ask the group what they have at their institutions.
