Insulin Pump Integration in MAR

We are evaluating our policies around use of home insulin pump for insulin delivery in the hospital.

One current struggle is the integration/visibility of the insulin pump in the MAR. Currently we have an order set that includes an insulin pump continuous order and an insulin pump bolus order. Nurses are required to document on the continuous basal order Q8 hour and bolus dose as needed. With pumps evolving, it is harder for nurses to document continuous basal rate as it can be either hard to find in the pump interface or change continually based on blood glucose levels.

What MAR documentation is required for nurses in your institution?
