Insulin scanning in Behavioral Health

I have noticed our insulin scanning rate at by behavioral health facility has been falling. We currently use 10 mL vials of insulin detemir and aspart. I am considering a switch to the detemir and aspart pens in hopes of cutting out steps and increasing our BCMA rates.

Has anyone had success making this transition, in behavioral health or acute care? Or, does anyone have success stories of increasing your subQ insulin scanning rates?

Thanks,
