Lidocaine 4%

I'm wondering if others who use the 5gm lidocaine 4% cream have had patient complaints about the product 'burning' when applied? Our Wound Center recently switched to the 5gm lidocaine 4% cream as their smaller product; they also carry 30gm Curacaine 4%. The patients have started requesting not to have the 'small tube' because of the burning.

I'm wondering if this is an isolated to our Wound Center or wide spread. The Wound Center is working with the distributor to return.

Thanks.

Carol
