Policy or SOP regarding implanted medication pumps

We are interested in whether other facilities have a policy or SOP for implanted medication pumps, such as those manufactured by Medtronic, used for morphine, baclofen, or ziconotide. For instance, how do you handle refills while patients are hospitalized? Do you require a pain management consult? Do you allow a nurse from an outside agency to enter the hospital to refill? Does pharmacy dispense the medication to be refilled? Thank you, Rebecca
