Alert Fatigue: DDI and DUP Alerts

As we continue going down our journey, I wanted to poll this group on what you had set up in terms of a look back for drug-drug interactions and for duplicates?

  • What look-back do you have set for most drugs for interaction checking? We currently have 1 day (alert fires if offending order was active within last 24 hours), but have been considering 0 days to reduce noise.
  • Do you have different look-backs set up differently for different drug classes? If so, how did you come to this?
  • Anything else you have done with interactions and duplicate alerts?

Thank you,
Joel
