Automated dispensing cabinets and narcotics

We are currently in the process of updating our ADC policies and we are interested in knowing of any forced function features that are currently utilized by sites in the dispensing and removing of narcotics from ADCs to help minimize discrepancies. Our health authority currently has both Pyxis and Omnicell and some sites require a double witness on narcotic removal from the ADC while others do not. Just wondering what strategies other sites use (i.e. daily cycle counts)?
