Bicillin LA - prefilled syring volume

Hi. I've in New Zealand and have just joined the MSOS group.

We are going through some labelling and datasheet changes for the Pfizer Bicillin LA product. It's currently presented as 900mg in 2.3mL and it's changing to 1.2 million units in 2.3mL. The actual product itself is unchanged. I understand that in US/Canada it's labelled as 1.2 million units in 2mL but the actual volume is 2.3mL. Is that true? Seems very odd to me! If you wanted to give a part dose from the 1.2million unit syringe what concentration would you use for the calculation? 1.2 million units in 2mL or 1.2 million units in 2.3mL?
Thanks in advance
