Creon Dispensing Logistics from Automated Dispensing Cabinets

Hi my health system is reviewing storage and distribution for Creon being that the manufacture recommends storing the medication in the original bottle. I am seeking to see what work processes other institutions have done regarding properly storing, dispensing, and keeping inventory of this medication in the automated dispensing cabinets? Creon, from my understanding, is one of just a handful of medications that require the medication to be dispensed in the bottle and there isn’t availability of unit dose packed products from the manufacturer, so if there are other medications that your institution has to store in the ADC I am all ears.

Sincerely,

Brennan
