Education for medications that affect hormonal contraceptive effectiveness.

Good afternoon,
Curious how other organizations provide education for patients who are discharging from your facility who have received medications that affect hormonal contraceptive effectiveness (i.e. sugammadex, aprepitant, certain antibiotics)?

What is your strategy?
1) Pharmacy provides targeted education regarding use of alternate form of birth control
2) Information included on discharge instructions
3) Something else

Which medications are included?

Appreciate your time and insight,
Sloane Hoefer, PharmD, BCPS
