IV insulin infusion preparation ICU

Just wondering what sites do to prepare insulin infusions for the ICU? Do the ICU nurses/pharmacists prepare the infusions on the units using a Multidose Vial? If so, would that MDV be used to prepare a drip for more than one patient? Or are infusions prepared by pharmacy?
