L&D Oxytocin and Epidural Infusions

Hello,

In addition to dedicated pump and dedicated tubing, I am curious if any institutions have implemented other safety strategies for infusion and handling of epidural and oxytocin drips (eg. placement on opposite sides of the patient beds)?

We currently use the yellow CADD pumps with a lock box and infuse through with the yellow striped tubing.

Thank you,
