Penicillin in Alaris Pump

Hi All
We use alaris for our infusion pumps and constantly have requests to add penicillin to the guardrails library. Alaris doesn't offer dosing units of 'million units' as well as limits the amount of numbers that can be programmed (4 numbers). We use both intermittent penicillin VK as well continuous penicllin vk (occasionally). Has anyone else figured out how to safely add penicillin to their alaris guardrails? i've heard that some institutions have an alert saying 1 unit = 1 million unit, but i have concerns with labels and how the orders appear in the EHR...was considering adding as a fluid..would love to hear what others are doing!

Thanks for the input!
Lindsey
