Test Patients in EHRs

I posted an earlier thread regarding access to EHR Test environments for medication safety pharmacists. I'm happy to report that the information shared by others helped me to successfully solicit access for our safety leads! Thank you!

NOW I have a different question...

What do your pharmacists use to "test" scenarios when physicians call with questions on how to enter something in your CPOE system? We previously had a test patients created in our system that were used for this purpose but our IT department removed them. I am worried that pharmacists will use actual patient accounts to test scenarios and may accidentally enter a medication on a patient inappropriately. Thanks!
