Scope of Practice - Ambulatory Office Compounding

Hello!

Is there any guidance that exists regarding who can perform compounding.... specifically outside of the world of pharmacy. It has been recognized that there is compounding of medications happening in physician practices / ambulatory offices and much work needs to be done to create guidance and regulations around these practices. One of the main questions was whether or not there are any recommendations regarding "scope of practice" and who might be able to perform compounding activities (specifically curious about: Medical Assistants, EMTs / paramedics, LPNS, RNs, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians, etc.)?? Any information or resources that you have would be extremely helpful.
